StoryLurk is a free Instagram story viewer for public accounts. Type a username or paste a profile link, and it shows the account's current stories, recent posts and reels, highlights, and profile details like the bio, follower count and full-size profile photo. Every photo and video has a Download button that saves it in full quality.

You don't need an Instagram account, and there's nothing to install or sign up for. It works in the browser on phones, tablets and computers. StoryLurk looks up the content for you, so your name doesn't appear in the account's story viewer list and the owner isn't notified. Your searches aren't saved or linked to you.

It has clear limits. It only works with public accounts: private profiles, close-friends stories and subscriber-only posts stay private, and it doesn't try to get around Instagram's privacy settings. It shows an account's most recent posts, not its full history. Public data comes from a third-party service, so a lookup can sometimes be slow or fail. If that happens, try again in a minute.

Frequently asked questions

How does StoryLurk work without a login?

StoryLurk gets public Instagram data from a third-party data service and shows it on the page. Photos and videos load straight from Instagram's public servers. You never sign in to Instagram, and StoryLurk never asks for anyone's password.

Will the account owner know someone viewed their story?

No. Visitors don't use their own Instagram account on StoryLurk, so their names never appear in the story viewer list, and the owner gets no notification.

Can StoryLurk show private accounts?

No. It only shows content that's already public. Private profiles, close-friends stories and subscriber-only posts stay private.

Does StoryLurk keep a record of searches?

No. Searches aren't saved or tied to anyone. To load faster, StoryLurk keeps short-term copies of public content: about 30 minutes for stories and up to 24 hours for profile details. Our Privacy Policy has the full details.
